Selected as the Government funding development task
Hyundai Mechatech Co., Ltd.‘s research center was finally selected as a company for the ’region-based growth technology development task“ funded by the Minister of Knowledge and Economy/ Gyeongnam Provincial Government/ Gyeongnam Technopark on Dec. 20, 2011 and is supposed to get the R&D subsidy amounting to 355,000,000 Won for 2 years.
The research center is supposed to develop the eco-friendly heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC) using the waste heat from ship, which is to be adopted in the deluxe cruiser, in the field of ‘knowledge based machine industry’ among 4 top strategic industries which are strategically led by Gyeongnam Provincial Government (such as knowledge based machinery, robot, intelligence type home and bio) through this project. If the research center succeeds in the development, it would get the bridgehead able to supply the HVAC system to the global cruiser ship industry based on our own original technologies.
'All in One Heat' Pump
This product is designed to realize the temperature of 7~10℃ for cooling, 55~70℃ for heating and 40~50℃ for hot water (rapid heating). Unlike the conventional product, only 1 set of heat pump can supply the hot water at all times regardless of cooling or heating operation of the heat pump.
To solve the frosting problem which occurs during the winter time for the heat pump, the system has realized the optimal defrosting conditions through 5-type defrosting control system.

Description of technological development of BWMS speed controller
Development of driving motor and speed controller for unit
Considering the safety factor, the 3kW class high speed AC motor (LHD2G300-CS of LCM Co.) is selected rather than that having 20,000 rpm or more for the driving motor for the reduced model of ship’s ballast handling device.
The range of use for the selected pump (WT600-1F) is 0.7 ~ 1,600mL/min.
